
Thirty-nine McLennan Community College student-athletes were honored with NJCAA All-Academic Awards for their success in the classroom in 2020-21. A total of 8,272 student-athletes from across the nation were named among the three levels of honorees: First Team (4.00 GPA), Second Team (3.80-3.99 GPA) and Third Team (3.60-3.79 GPA).
McLennan placed seven athletes on the First Team, 14 on the Second Team and 18 on the Third Team. The baseball squad led the McLennan teams with 21 honorees. The softball squad had seven honorees, followed by men's golf with six and women's golf with three. Men's and women's basketball had one each.
McLennan's honorees included:

Second Team: Sidney Campion (softball), Trey Cehajic (baseball), Wyatt Childress (baseball), Cheyenne Floyd (softball), Diego Gonzales (men's basketball), Mason Greer (baseball), Holden Hamilton (men's golf), Julia Herzinger (softball), Braley Hollins (baseball), Blake Jackson (baseball), Ulrik Joergensen (men's golf), Nick Pierce (baseball), Kevin Skweres (baseball) and Bryson Weeks (baseball)
Third Team: Cade Allison (men's golf), Hank Bard (baseball), Kaden Calkins (baseball), Will Carsten (baseball), Kenzie Chambers (softball), Bianca Cunningham (women's golf), Landon Dorman (baseball), Tyler Everts (men's golf), Hayes Hamilton (men's golf), Jack Hattrup (baseball), Logan Henderson (baseball), Gavin Hepner (baseball), Logan Kreske (baseball), Izzy Lopez (baseball), Haven Stanley (softball), Kadyn Trochim (softball), Jack Williams (baseball) and Kevin Yang (men's golf)
In addition, four McLennan teams were among the 820 teams from across the nation recognized with 2020-21 Academic Team of the Year honors for their team GPA: men's golf (3.62), baseball (3.53), women's golf (3.49) and softball (3.41).
