Bradley named director of MCC Dance Company

Heather Bradley was named as the director of McLennan Community College's nationally-recognized Dance Company at Thursday evening's Board of Trustees meeting. She will also serve as an advisor.

Prior to her time at Mesquite, Bradley spent a year as the drill team director and a history teacher at Bonham High School. While at Bonham, she entered the War Dancers in the program's first competition, and the squad brought home 13 major awards. She was also named the Bonham ISD Rookie Teacher of the Year.

Bradley attended Mansfield High School and served as historian and treasurer for the Gold Dusters drill team. She was awarded a Bobby Lane Scholarship for leadership and responsibility, and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She continued her education at the Toulouse Graduate School at the University of North Texas, receiving a master's degree in education with specializations in kinesiology/dance and sports administration, and was named to the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society. She is a member of the Texas Dance Educators Association, National Dance Educator Organization, and the North Texas Dance Council.
