Highlassies defeat Ranger

The McLennan Highlanders defeated the Rangers Rangers 61-51 on Saturday.

Both teams struggled offensively. McLennan led 15-8 midway through the first half and held the 30-21 advantage at the break.

The Highlanders increased the lead to 18, 47-29, with 6:40 remaining in the game. Ranger rallied to pull within five down the stretch but was unable to pull any closer.

John Savoy and Tevin Hanner led McLennan with 10 points each.

The Highlanders return to action on Feb. 15, hosting Hill at 4 p.m.
