The McLennan Community College men's basketball team dropped four spots to 23rd in the latest NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Rankings.
The top five teams remained the same this week with Northwest Florida State in first, followed by Indian Hills (Iowa) in second, Vincennes (Indiana) in third, Florida Southwestern State in fourth and Odessa (Texas), a Region V opponent for McLennan, in fifth.
Other Texas squads in the poll are Trinity Valley, up four spots to seventh; Paris, up four spots to 18th; and Tyler, down two spots to 20th.
The Highlanders have an overall record of 21-3 and are 4-2 in North Texas Junior College Athletics Conference play. McLennan begins the second round of conference play tomorrow, traveling to Ranger. Women's action will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7 p.m.
