The McLennan Highlassies and Ranger Lady Rangers split today's conference doubleheader at Bosque River Ballpark.
Ranger took game one 3-2 with a Victoria Vasquez taking the loss in the circle.
The Lady Rangers began the scoring with a run in the top of the first as Abi Haston singled, moved to second on a single by Chandon Morris, advanced to third on the walk of Shelby Neatherlin and scored on a sacrifice fly by Madi Stark.
Ranger doubled their lead with a run in the third. Haston walked and moved to second on a sacrifice by Morris. Neatherlin followed with a walk. Haston then moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on a fielder's choice by Stark.
McLennan tied the game with two runs in the fourth. Dariann Resendez led off with a triple and scored on a double by Elizabeth Svienty. Svienty then moved to third on a sacrifice by Zayra Olguin and scored on a double by Haley Webre.
The Lady Rangers scored the winning run in the sixth. Reise Powell and Krista Cuevas both walked. Sam Brodnax then pinch hitter for a single to score Powell.
McLennan bounced back to shut out Ranger 1-0 in game two with Vannessa Castro getting the complete-game win in the circle.
McLennan will continue conference play on Wednesday, hosting Vernon for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
