The McLennan Highlanders swept the Cisco Wranglers on Wednesday afternoon in Cisco.
Sterling Wynn picked up the 7-6 game-one win and Patrick Herbelin got the save. Max Hogan was 2-3 at the plate and Evan Williams hit a double. Zach Gonzalez was 3-4 with two RBIs. Matt Campbell, Trevor Podsednik, Sydney Daley and Mason George each recorded an RBI.
The Highlanders run-ruled the Wranglers 23-3 in the nightcap with Nathan Bertness on the mound. Bertness allowed five hits and recorded nine strikeouts. Hogan led McLennan at the plate going 5-5 with four doubles, a triple and three RBIs. Williams went 2-3 with two RBIs and Campbell was 3-6 with a double and two RBIs. Andrew Rhodes and Tanner Fritsch were both 1-3 with an RBI. Zac Valenzuela was 2-5 with a double and four RBIs, while Trevor Podsednik went 1-2 with three RBIs. Zach Gonzalez went 3-4 with a double and four RBIs. Daley and J.T. Stevenson both went 2-4 at the plate with Stevenson picking up two RBIs and Daley recording one.
