McLennan Baseball moves up to top-five in NJCAA national poll
The McLennan Highlanders jumped three spots to No. 5 in this week's NJCAA Division I Baseball Poll, receiving 146 points.
Santa Fe (Florida) moved into first this week with 183 points followed by Walters State (Tennessee) dropping from first to second with 180 points. Chipola (Florida) moved up a spot to third with 174 points, and State College of Florida moved up one spot to fourth with 173 points.
San Jacinto and Grayson are the only other Texas teams in the poll. San Jac dropped two spots to eighth with 123 points, and Grayson went from receiving votes to 19th with 26 points this week.
The Highlanders have an overall record of 29-8 and lead the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference standings with a 14-2 record. McLennan travels to Temple tomorrow for a 1 p.m. conference doubleheader.
