McLennan Baseball remains in NJCAA Top-20
The McLennan Highlanders fell to No. 16 in latest NJCAA Division I Baseball Poll after spending the last two weeks at No. 5.
San Jacinto (Texas) jumped two spots into first this week followed by Walters State (Tennessee) holding steady at second and Chattahoochee Valley (Alabama) jumping five spots to third. Wabash Valley (Illinois) moved up two spots to fourth, and Trinidad State (Colorado) moved up from ninth to round out the top five.
Grayson and Cisco, both conference foes of the Highlanders, moved up to 14th and 15th, respectively after being 15th and 20th last week. Blinn is receiving votes.
The Highlanders have an overall record of 33-13 and a conference record of 18-6 . McLennan and Grayson will compete in a four-game conference series this week with a 1 p.m. doubleheader Thursday in Sherman, followed by a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday at Bosque River Ballpark.
