McLennan baseball players sweep conference weekly honors

McLennan Baseball swept the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference awards for the Week of April 14-20.
 
Freshman Tanner Brooks, a right hander from Houston, was named the Pitcher of the Week. Brooks pitched seven innings in Ranger to lead the Highlanders to a 9-0 run-rule victory over the Rangers. In the complete-game win, he allowed one hit while recording five strikeouts and three walks.
 
Freshman Jalen Battles was named the Position Player of the Week. Battles, a shortstop from San Antonio, had a .562 batting average in four games last week. He recorded a double, two home runs, five RBIs and nine runs scored against Ranger.
