McLennan Baseball tops another preason poll

With one week to go before opening day, the McLennan Baseball squad has landed another No. 1 ranking in a preseason poll. The Highlanders are first in the Prep Baseball Report (PBR) Preseason JUCO D1 Top-25 released yesterday. McLennan also holds the top spot in the Perfect Game rankings and is fifth on the Collegiate Baseball list and seventh according to the NJCAA.
 
PBR lists Northwest Florida State in second followed by Iowa Western in third, defending national champion Central Arizona in fourth and San Jacinto (Texas) in fifth.
 
Other Texas schools ranked include: Grayson (13th) and Navarro (21st).
 
The Highlanders open the 2020 Friday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. versus Midland at Bosque River Ballpark.
