McLennan Baseball remains in top 10 of NJCAA poll

The McLennan Highlanders slipped six spots to No. 9 in the latest NJCAA Division I Baseball Poll.

Wabash Valley (Illinois) moved up four spots to No. 1 this week, followed by Iowa Western up two spots to No. 2 and Cowley (Kansas) down a spot to No. 3. Northwest Florida State jumped five spots to No. 9 and Central Florida moved up five spots to No. 5. Chipola (Florida), the previous No. 1, fell to No. 6.

Odessa, a Region V opponent of the Highlanders, moved up four spots to No. 10 this week. Grayson, a conference opponent for McLennan, moved up four spots to No. 16, and San Jacinto, a non-conference opponent, went to No. 19 from receiving votes. Weatherford, a conference opponent, and Blinn, a non-conference opponent, received votes this week.

The Highlanders, with an overall record of 10-4, will host New Mexico Saturday for a noon doubleheader at Bosque River Ballpark.
