The McLennan Highlanders came from behind to defeat the Blinn Buccaneers 5-2 this afternoon at Bosque River Ballpark. Wyatt Cheney picked up the win on the mound in relief of starting pitcher Will Carsten.
 
Both of Blinn's runs came in the top of the fourth inning. Chase Arnaud reached on an error and Cash Callahan singled. Bo Rodgers then reached on an error, allowing both runners to score.
 
McLennan took the lead with four runs in the bottom of the sixth. Marquis Jackson singled and scored on a Hunter Grimes home run. Ty Johnson was hit by the pitch and scored on a double by Cole Dillon. Dillon then moved to third on a fly out by Izzy Lopez and scored on a sacrifice fly by Drew Messick.
 
The Highlanders final run came in the seventh inning as Grimes singled, advanced to second on an error and scored on single by Johnson.
 
McLennan and Blinn will complete the two-game series with a 3 p.m. game tomorrow in Brenham
