McLennan's Carsten earns conference award

McLennan Baseball's Will Carsten is the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 27-March 5. The San Antonio native made two appearances on the mound for the Highlanders last week. He pitched a complete seven-inning game against Hutchinson, allowing one hit and striking out 11 to get an 8-0 shutout victory over the Blue Dragons. He also recorded one strikeout in one-third of an inning against New Mexico.
