McLennan's Fontenelle named ABCA All-American

McLennan Baseball's Cole Fontenelle was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-America Third Team. The sophomore infielder from Sammamish, Washington, was second on the Highlander squad with a .381 batting average this season, recording 74 hits in 194 at-bats. He led the team with 23 doubles, 42 walks, and 79 runs scored, and was also second on the team in home runs with 15 and RBIs with 64. Fontenelle was named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) Player of the Year, NTJCAC Hitter of the Year, First-Team All-Conference and NJCAA All-Region V, and will continue his career at Texas Christian University next season.
