McLennan Highlanders slip to No. 7 in NJCAA poll
The McLennan Highlanders, with an overall record of 25-8, slipped one spot to No. 7 in this week's NJCAA Division I Baseball Rankings.
Walters State (Tennessee) remained in the top spot with a record of 33-5. Central Arizona moved up one spot to No. 2 with a 35-5 record, and Sante Fe (New Mexico) slipped one spot to No. 3 with a 32-3 record. Central Florida (34-4) is up one spot to No. 4, and Iowa Western (21-2) is down one spot to No. 5.
Other Texas schools in the poll: Blinn, 28-9, staying at No. 10, and Weatherford, 27-7, up two spots to No. 16.
New Mexico, a regional opponent of McLennan and Weatherford, is receiving votes.
McLennan is facing San Jacinto in a non-conference game this afternoon at Bosque River Ballpark.
