Highlanders sweep Player of the Week awards

McLennan Baseball swept the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week awards.

Brecken Menuet was named the Position Player of the Week. The freshman infielder from Houston hit the walk-off two-run homer in the Highlanders' 11-1 run-rule win over Howard in the opening round of the Region V Tournament. He went 1-4 in the game with one home run, two RBI and three runs scored. He also went 2-3 with a double and an RBI in the 2-0 win over Cisco in round two.

Alex Wallace, a freshman from Rancho Santa Margarita, California, is the Pitcher of the Week. The right-hander picked up the 2-0 win over Cisco, allowing one hit and three walks while striking out 10 in 7.2 innings.
