The McLennan and Hill baseball teams closed their conference series with a doubleheader split this afternoon at Bosque River Ballpark.
Hill took the opener 7-2 with Charlie Kincaid taking the loss on the mound.
The Rebels scored two in the first as Thomas McHugh singled and scored on Samuel York's home run.
Two more Hill Runs scored in the second as Trent Thompson singled and scored on a home run by Ellington Jefferson.
Bryce Deason hit a solo home run in the fourth to make it a 5-0 Rebel lead.
McLennan's two runs came in the bottom of the sixth. Peyton Firgens doubled and scored on a double by Tyler Ness. Ness then scored on a single by Cooper McEnroe.
Hill rounded out the scoring with two runs in the seventh. Dryden Fuoco walked and Jeziel Serrao singled, both advancing on a sac bunt by Tanner Cooper. Thompson then singled to score both runners.
McLennan bounced back for an 8-0 run-rule win in the nightcap with Tyler Sunseri on the mound.
Fine Highlander runs scored in the second. Ness doubled and scored on a double by Brett Haggerty. Sam Jenkins then singled to score Haggerty. Brandon Diknson followed with a two-run homer. Brock Lulewicz then doubled, stole third and scored on an error.
Brennon Seigler hit a solo home run in the fifth to put McLennan up 6-0.
The Highlanders sealed the run rule with two runs in the sixth. Michael Peavy led off with a single, and Seigler doubled. McEnroe followed with a single to score both runners.
