Highlanders remain at No. 6

McLennan Baseball (37-8) is No. 6 in this week's NJCAA Division I Rankings for the third consecutive week.
 
The top three teams remained the same: Johnson County at No. 1 with a 36-2 record; Midland (Texas) at No. 2 with a 42-3 record; and Chipola (Florida) at No. 3 with a 39-8 record. Gaston (North Carolina) is No. 4 with a 46-3 record, and Cloud County (Kansas) slipped is No. 5 with a 37-8 record.
 
Other Texas teams ranked: Blinn, No. 7, 33-12; Weatherford, No. 23, 29-14; and Grayson, No. 24, 26-14. San Jacinto is receiving votes.
 
The Highlanders are facing No. 2 Midland this afternoon and will return to conference play with a noon doubleheader Wednesday in Temple.
