McLennan took the opener 6-4 with Charlie Kinkaid getting the win on the mound in relief of Logan Harris.
The Highlanders began the scoring with a run in the second. Cooper McEnroe doubled and Nathan Tobin singled. McEnroe then scored on an error.
McLennan added two runs in the third. Brady Quinn and Abdiel Hernandez-Sostre both singled. Quinn scored on a double by Sam Jenkins, and Hernandez-Sostre scored on a ground out by Brody Chyr.
Temple tied the game with three runs in the top of the fourth inning. Hunter Baros and Elias Leon-Padilla were both hit by the pitch. Kanyon Millar walked, loading the bases. Baros scored on a ground out by Wade Stallones, and Kade Davis doubled to score Leon-Padilla and Millar.
The Highlanders took the lead with three runs in the fifth. Chyr singled and scored on McEnroe's homer. Tyler Ness walked and Quinn singled. Hernandez-Sostre then doubled to score Ness.
The Leopards rounded out the scoring with a run in the top of the sixth inning. Camron Bartz was hit by the pitch and Stallones singled. Bartz advanced on a fly out by Davis and scored when Millar flied out.
In game two, Temple scored three runs in the top of the ninth to steal the game 5-3. AJ Grizzaffi took the loss on the mound.
Temple put the first run on the board in the top of the second. Davin Bazzle reached on an error and Sage Sanders singled. Kash Millar then singled to score Brazzle.
A McLennan run in the third tied the game. Quinn singled and Jenkins walked. Quinn advanced to third on a fly out by Brennon Seigler and scored on a single by Chyr.
The Highlanders scored two in the fourth to take the lead. Ramon Corona singled and Ness followed with a two-run homer to dead centerfield.
The Leopards scored one in the sixth. Brazzle and Sanders both walked. Baros followed with a single to score Brazzle.
Temple scored three in the ninth. Kash Millar reached on an error and Chase Fricke singled. Brody Cole came in as the runner for Fricke. Stallones singled to score Kash Millar. Davis singled, and Cole score on an error. Kanyon Millar was hit by the pitch, and Stallones scored on a sacrifice fly by Brazzle.
