Highlanders move to post-season play ranked No. 10 in final NJCAA Rankings
McLennan Baseball, 43-11 overall and 23-9 in conference play, remained at No. 10 in the final NJCAA Division I Rankings of the 2026 season.
Johnson County (Kansas) remained at No. 1 with a 54-2 record, followed by Cloud County (Kanas) moving up one spot to No. 2 with a 47-5 record. Blinn (Texas) jumped two spots to No. 3 with a record of 40-12, and Gaston (North Carolina) fell two spots to No. 4 with a 53-4 record. Chipola (Florida) moved up one spot to No. 5 with a 42-11 record.
Other Texas schools ranked: Midland, down five to No. 9, 45-9; Grayson, up one to No. 14, 34-15; Weatherford, up four to No. 21, 37-18; and Odessa, entering the poll at No. 25, 38-15. Tyler was receiving votes.
The No. 10 Highlanders travel to No. 25 Odessa for a three-game series to open Region V post-season play. Games are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with the if-necessary game scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.
