MCC set to honor dance national champions

McLennan Athletics will host a National Championship Ring Ceremony for the MCC Dance Company Friday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in The Highlands on the MCC campus. In April, the MCC squad claimed the 2017 Jazz Division III National Championship at the NDA Collegiate Championships in Daytona Beach. The title marks the sixth NDA title in MCC's history, and the team's score of 9.507 set a school record for the highest score received by an MCC team at an NDA competition. The team also placed second in Pom Division II.

During the ceremony, members of the 2016-17 squad, along with director Sandy Hinton, assistant director Chrissy Clay and other members of the McLennan Athletics staff will receive national championship rings provided by the MCC Foundation, championship jackets provided by NDA and championship t-shirts.
