Bogues snags third Player of the Week honor

McLennan's Shannon Bogues has been named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season. Bogues earned the honor for Dec. 4-10,  marking the sixth consecutive week a Highlander has earned the award.

Bogues, a Killeen native, scored 20 and 34 points, respectively, in the Highlanders' wins over Eastfield and Lone Star-Tomball. He added five assists and five steals in the two games, and was 19-33 from the field and 10-12 from the free throw line.

The 12th-ranked Highlanders are 15-0 on the season and host Angelina at 6 p.m. Dec. 30.
