McLennan’s Talton selected for NJCAA Men’s Basketball All-Star Game

McLennan Community College basketball standout Jashawn Talton was one of only 12 NJCAA Division I sophomores from across the United States selected to participate in the 2018 NJCAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game May 19 at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The game is held in conjunction with the Nike Basketball Coaches Clinic.

Talton, a native of Oklahoma City, averaged 12.7 points per game and led the Highlanders with 6.5 rebounds per game. He was also second in the conference with a 58.6 field goal percentage and was named the North Texas Junior College Athletics Conference (NTJCAC) Player of the Year, a first-team all-conference selection, an NJCAA Region V All-Region selection and an NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American. He will play for Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in the fall.
