McLennan Highlanders receiving votes in NJCAA poll

The McLennan Highlanders are receiving votes in this week's NJCAA Division I Basketball poll.

Chipola (Florida) and Southern Idaho are No. 1 and No. 2, respectively with 19-0 overall records. Odessa (Texas), a regional opponent of the Highlanders is No. 3. Salt Lake (Utah) and Tallahassee (Florida) come in at No. 4 and No. 5.

South Plains (Texas) and Midland (Texas), both regional opponents of McLennan sit at No. 10 and No. 11, respectively. Kilgore rounds out the Texas schools in the poll at No. 20. Weatherford and Collin, conference opponents of McLennan, are also receiving votes.

McLennan has an overall record of 13-3 and will begin conference play Wednesday at Hill.
