Shogbonyo earns Player of the Week honor

McLennan Basketball's Nick Shogbonyo was named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Player of the Week for his performance at the Aztec Holiday Classic in Tucson, Arizona. The sophomore guard from Arlington, Texas, scored 71 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in three games. He scored 25 points, including going 14-15 from the free throw line, in the Highlanders' 73-62 win over No. 2 Salt Lake. He was a perfect 11-11 from the free throw line and also scored 25 points against Cochise, and ended the week with 21 points against Pima.
