Dickerson named Player of the Week

McLennan forward Daylon Dickerson overcame a broken nose and mid-week surgery to earn North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors for Jan. 8-14. On Wednesday, the freshman from Kaufman recorded a double-double in the 70-38 win over Hill, going 8-14 from the field and 2-2 from the free throw line for 18 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. On Saturday, he was 7-14 from the field, 2-6 from 3-point range and 2-4 from the free throw line for another 18 points to go along with four rebounds in the 82-72 loss at Weatherford. He also had three steals and one blocked shot during the week.
