Highlanders receiving votes in NJCAA poll

The McLennan Highlanders are off to a 7-0 start and are receiving votes for the first time this season.

Vincennes (Indiana) is No. 1, followed by Northwest Florida State at No. 2 and Coffeyville (Kansas) at No. 3. Daytona State (Florida) and Snow (Utah) are No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.

Other Texas teams ranked include: Midland, No. 7; Trinity Valley, No. 8; Odessa, No. 12; Angelina, No. 13; South Plains, No. 14; and Howard, No. 22. New Mexico, a Region V opponent, is No. 23. Panola and Kilgore are also receiving votes.
