McLennan women stay at No. 7

The McLennan women's basketball squad, with a record of 12-1, will open conference play Wednesday evening ranked No. 7 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll.

Dodge City (Kansas) remains at No. 1 with a 13-0 record. Northwest Florida State moved up a spot to No. 2 with a 14-1 record, and South Plains (Texas) also moved up one spot to No. 3 with a record of 13-1. Chipola (Florida) dropped three spots to No. 4 with a 15-1 record, and Eastern Arizona remains at No. 5 with a record of 13-1.

Other Texas teams ranked include: Trinity Valley (13-2), staying at No. 16; Collin (10-3), down two spots, No. 19; Grayson (10-2), down four spots to No. 24; and Clarendon (106-1), remaining at No. 25. Tyler is receiving votes. New Mexico (113-1), a Region V opponent, remains at No. 9.
