McLennan men enter NJCAA rankings

The McLennan Highlanders (16-1) are ranked No. 24 in this week's NJCAA Division I Basketball rankings.

Snow (Utah) remained at No. 1 with an 18-0 record, followed by Midland (Texas) moving up one spot to No. 2 with a 16-0 record. Vincennes (Indiana) slipped one spot to No. 3 at 16-0. Gulf Coast State (Florida) climbed two spots to No. 4, 17-1, and Howard (Texas) moved up three spots to No. 5 with a 15-1 record.

Other Texas teams ranked include: Trinity Valley, down three spots to No. 7, 13-2; Odessa, up two spots to No. 8, 13-2; Kilgore (13-2), up three spots to No. 17; and South Plains (11-4), down three spots, No. 18. New Mexico (14-1), a Region V opponent, moved up two spots to No.15.

McLennan continues conference play Saturday, hosting Ranger. Women's action begins at 2 p.m., followed by the men at 4 p.m.
