The McLennan Highlanders shot 301-307-298 – 906 to finish in second place at the NJCAA Division I National Championship Preview in Burlington, Iowa.

Odessa finished in first place with 308-290-306 – 904, and Indian Hills was third with 300-311-300 – 911.

Freshman Hunter Shattuck shot 73-73-73 – 219 to lead the Highlanders and finish in third place.

Other McLennan scores: Andrew Hans, sixth, 74-79-73 – 226; Ryan Beatty, 16th, 76-79-77 – 232; Chris Low, tied for 22nd, 78-80-76 – 234; and Dillon Vaughn; tied for 29th, 85-76-76 – 237.
