Highlander golf finishes in seventh place at national tournament

The McLennan Highlanders finished in seventh place with 317-308-295-309 – 1,229 at the NJCAA Division I National Championships at the par-72, 7,360-yard Spirit Hollow Golf Course in Burlington, Iowa.

Indian Hills finished in first place with 298-295-303-294 – 1,190, followed by Wallace State in second with 301-297-301-307 – 1,206 and Iowa Western in third with 306-299-307-301 – 1,213.

Ryan Beatty and Hunter Shattuck shot 76-78-77-76 – 307 and 81-76-73-77 – 307, respectively, to lead the Highlanders and finish tied for 22nd place.
