McLennan teams finish second, third at Dr Pepper Classic
Popp, Cash, Schafer, Krsnak, Johnson and Courtney named all-tournament
The McLennan Blue team shot 289-289 – 578 and the McLennan Orange team shot 296-293 – 589 to finish in second and third place, respectively, at the Dr Pepper Classic held at the Twin Rivers Golf Club.
The tournament followed the Maxwell scoring format. Rather than combining the four lowest player scores at the end of each round, the four lowest scores for each hole were used to calculate the team score.
Hutchinson (Kansas) shot 289-282 – 571 to finish in first place.
Bruce Popp shot 71-74 – 145 to lead the Highlanders and finish in second place.
