McLennan men's golf ranked seventh in Bushnell/Golfweek Preseason Poll

The McLennan men's golf squad is ranked seventh with 18 points in the Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division I Coaches Preseason Poll released by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Defending national champion Hutchinson (Kansas) was the unanimous No. 1 pick with 50 points, followed by Odessa (Texas) in second with 43 points and Midland (Texas) in third with 42 points.

Western Texas and Indian Hills (Iowa) round out the top five with 25 and 23 points, respectively.
 
McLennan, Odessa, Midland and Western Texas all compete in NJCAA Region V along with Ranger, coming in ninth with 21 points.  New Mexico, also a Region V competitor, is receiving votes.

The Highlanders open the season Sept. 11-12 at the Andrews Collegiate/Amateur Invitational in Andrews, Texas.
