The McLennan Highlanders shot 288-292-300 – 880 to sit in second place after the opening day of the Claude Jacobs Invitational in Victoria.

Midland finished in first place with 287-277-297 – 861 and Houston-Victoria was third with 297-285-304 – 886.

Liam Gobin shot 65-74-76 – 215 to lead the Highlanders and finish tied for third place.
