The McLennan Highlassies won a game and lost a game on Friday, the opening day of the Temple Tournament.
McLennan began the day with a 10-0 run-rule loss to Blinn. Stacey Underwood took the loss on the mound, and Summer Dolezel recorded the only hit for the Highlassies.
The Highlassies bounced back to run-rule Northeastern Oklahoma 12-4 with Ashley Mills picking up the win. Natali Duron, Jessica Garcia, Sevanah Campos and Kaymee Gooden all hit home runs.
On Saturday, the Highlassies picked up two wins.
Underwood picked up a 3-1 win in the circle over Butler. Amber Mills and Campos both homered for the Highlassies.
McLennan defeated Galveston 5-1 with Ashley Mills getting the win. Duron led the Highlassies at the plate, going 2-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Abby White recorded a double and an RBI. Danielle Gregory also picked up an RBI.
The Highlassies open conference play on Wednesday, hosting Temple for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
