The McLennan Highlassies swept the Vernon Lady Chaparrals on Saturday afternoon at Bosque River Ballpark, moving to 4-0 in conference play.

Ashley Mills pitched a no-hitter in game one as the Highlassies run-ruled the Lady Chaparrals 8-0.

McLennan scored two runs in the bottom of the second. Jessica Garcia walked and Natali Duron singled. Both runners scored on a double by Courtney Mica.

The Highlassies sealed the win with six runs in the third inning. Amber Mills led off with a bunt single and scored on a triple by Duron. Taylor Davis then doubled to score Duron. Abby White walked and Sevanah Campos was safe on an error to load the bases. Danielle Gregory followed with a fielder's choice, putting Campos out at second, advancing White to third and bringing Davis in to score. Courtney Mica followed with a single, scoring White. Gregory and Mica both advanced on a passed ball. Gregory came in to score on another passed ball and Summer Dolezel singled to score Mica.

McLennan shut out Vernon 8-0 in a run-rule nightcap with Stacey Underwood getting the win.

The Highlassies scored one run in the bottom of the first as Amber Mills walked, moved around to third on a single by Davis and scored on a Vernon error.

McLennan added five runs in the second. Campos singled and stole second. Gregory followed with a double to score Campos. Gregory stole second. The Lady Chaparrals then mishandled a bunt by Dolezel, allowing Gregory and Dolezel both to score. Amber Mills singled but was out at second on a fielder's choice by Duron. Davis followed with a triple, scoring Duron, and a passed ball brought Davis in to score.

The Highlassies added two runs in fifth to secure the run-rule. Kaymee Gooden drew a walk and stole second. Dolezel was safe on a bunt, moving Gooden to third. Dolezel stole second and both runners scored on a double by Duron.

McLennan returns to action on Wednesday, hosting Ranger for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
