The McLennan Highlassies swept the North Central Lady Lions on Wednesday afternoon at Bosque River Ballpark.
McLennan took game one 6-4 with Ashley Mills getting the win in the circle.
The Highlassies began the scoring with one run in the bottom of the second as Sevanah Campos drew a walk, stole second, advanced to third on a fly out by Courtney Mica and scored on a double by Jessica Garcia.
The Lady Lions tied the game with one run in the top of the third as Kennedi Jackson reached first safely on an error and scored on a triple by Laura Mabary.
McLennan took the lead with one run in the bottom of the third as Amber Mills singled, moved to second on the walk of Natali Duron and came around to score on a North Central error.
North Central scored two runs in the fourth to take back the lead. Cassidy Hall and Shannon Green both singled and scored on a triple by Jackson.
The Highlassies nabbed the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Kaymee Gooden tripled and scored on a Lady Lion error that put Amber Mills safe at first. Taylor Davis then doubled to score Mills.
McLennan extended its lead with two runs in the sixth. Gooden singled and Amber Mills was safe on an error. Gooden scored on a sacrifice fly by Duron. Davis then doubled to score Mills.
The Lady Lions rounded out the scoring with one run in the seventh as Mabary singled, moved to second on the walk of Ciera Frith and scored on a double by Vanessa Tanksely.
The second game was all McLennan with Stacey Underwood picking up the 7-0 shutout.
The Highlassies scored three runs in the bottom of the first. Amber Mills singled and Duron doubled. Both runners scored on a double by Davis. Davis then moved to third on a bunt by Gooden and stole home.
The final four runs came in the fifth inning. Mills and Duron both singled. Davis and Gregory then followed with back-to-back home runs.
