Highlassies ranked in preseason poll

The McLennan Community College softball team is ranked 11th in the 2015 Marucci Sports Division I Softball Preseason Rankings released today by the NJCAA.
The preseason rankings are based off district predictions in a survey provided to all NJCAA member softball programs.

Angelina (Texas) sits in first place, followed by Central Florida in second and Arizona Western in third. Chattanooga State (Tennessee) and Indian River State (Florida) sit in fourth and fifth, respectively.

Temple at sixth is the only other Region V North opponent to make the poll. Odessa (eighth) rounds out the Texas schools in the poll.

The Highlassies finished with an overall record of 46-10 last season and claimed the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Championship with a record of 29-3. The team opens the 2015 season this weekend at the Galveston College Invitational.
