McLennan softball moves into top 10

The McLennan Community College softball team moved up five spots to eighth in the latest Marucci Sports Division I Softball Rankings released today by the NJCAA. 

Central Florida remains in first place, followed by Tyler (Texas) in second and Salt Lake (Utah) in third. Northwest Florida State and Southern Idaho round out the top five.

Angelina (10th), Howard (13th) and Blinn (18th) round out the Texas schools in the poll. Grayson and Midland are receiving votes. Weatherford and Galveston dropped from the rankings.

The Highlassies have an overall record of 19-5 and are 6-0 in conference play.
