McLennan softball drops in NJCAA poll

The McLennan Community College softball team dropped two spots to eighth in the latest Marucci Sports Division I Softball Rankings released today by the NJCAA. 

Central Florida remains in first place, followed by Tyler (Texas) in second and Salt Lake (Utah) in third. Indian River State (Florida) and Northwest Florida State round out the top five.

McLennan is the only Region V North squad to make the poll. Galveston (ninth), Howard (14th), Angelina (15th) and Blinn (19th) round out the Texas schools in the poll. 

The Highlassies have an overall record of 25-7 and are 12-2 in conference play.
