Highlassies receiving votes in latest NJCAA poll

The McLennan Highlassies are receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division I Softball Rankings released. Chipola (Florida) continues to rank first followed by Florida SouthWestern State in second and Tyler (Texas) in third.

Temple, a conference and regional rival for the Highlassies, moved up five spots this week to fifth. Other Texas teams in the poll: Howard (ninth) and Blinn (15th). Odessa is also receiving votes. Weatherford dropped out of the poll this week after two losses to McLennan Saturday.

The Highlassies have an overall record of 12-2 and are 8-1 in conference play. They travel to Vernon for a 1 p.m. conference doubleheader tomorrow.
