Highlassies Softball remains No. 20 in NJCAA poll

The McLennan Highlassies are holding steady at No. 20 in the latest NJCAA Division I Softball Rankings with 20 votes. Chipola (Florida) and Florida SouthWestern State continue to hold the top two spots with 200 and 190 points, respectively. Tyler (Texas), from Region 14, moved into third this week with 180 followed by Salt Lake (Utah) in fourth with 170 and Central Florida rounding out the top five with 160.

Temple, McLennan's conference rival, fell three spots to sixth with 150 points, and Howard (Texas) dropped five spots to 10th with 110 points. No other Texas teams are listed in the poll. Blinn is receiving votes.

The Highlassies have an overall record of 20-3 and are atop the conference standings with a 16-2 record. McLennan continues conference play tomorrow, traveling to Ranger for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
