McLennan Softball receiving votes in NJCAA poll

McLennan Softball is receiving votes in the first NJCAA Division I Poll of the regular season.

Florida Southwestern State holds the top spot followed by Chipola (Florida) in second. Temple, a conference opponent for McLennan, is in at No. 3 followed by Salt Lake (Utah) in fourth and Tyler (Texas), from Region XIV, in fifth.

Howard (15th) and Midland (20th) are the only other Texas schools to make the rankings. Blinn is also receiving votes.

McLennan hosts Grayson Wednesday for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
