McLennan Softball up to No. 16 NJCAA rankings

The McLennan Softball squad moved up one spot to No. 16  in this week's NJCAA Division I Poll.

The top four teams remained the same this week: Seminole State (Oklahoma), No. 1; Central Florida, No. 2; Florida Southwestern State, No. 3; and Tyler (Texas), No. 4. Arizona Western moved up two spots to No. 5 while Chipola (Florida) fell from fifth to sixth.

Other Texas schools ranked are Howard at No. 10 and San Jacinto-South at No. 17. Vernon, a conference opponent of McLennan, received votes.
McLennan, with an overall record of 11-2, begins conference play Wednesday with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Cisco.
