McLennan Softball continuing to get votes in NJCAA poll

With an overall record of 9-7, the McLennan Softball team is continuing to receive votes in the NJCAA Division I Softballl Rankings for the fourth straight week.

Florida Southwestern State moved up into the top spot this week with Central Florida slipping to second. Salt Lake (Utah) and Howard (Texas) remained at third and fourth, Indian Hills (Iowa) jumped up two spots to fifth this week.

Grayson and Vernon, both conference opponents of McLennan, each moved up a spot this week to sixth and seventh, respectively. Weatherford, also a conference opponent, broke into the rankings at No. 20 this week. San Jacinto, competing in Region XIV, comes in at No. 12, while Odessa is receiving votes. Howard and Odessa both compete in Region V West.

McLennan opens conference play Wednesday with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Temple.
