McLennan Softball holding steady at No. 7

The McLennan Softball squad remained No. 7 in the latest NJCAA Division I Rankings released this afternoon.

In all, the top eight teams remained the same: Wallace State-Hanceville, No. 1; Yavapai, No. 2; Florida Southwestern State, No. 3.; Seminole State (Oklahoma), No. 4; Odessa, No. 5; Butler (Kansas), No. 6.; McLennan No. 7;  and Chattanooga State, No. 8. Chipola moved up one spot to No. 9, and Pensacola State fell one spot to No. 10.

Other Texas schools in the ranking: Grayson, up spot to No. 11, and San Jacinto, down three spots to No. 17. Howard, is receiving votes.

McLennan returns to conference play Wednesday, traveling to Weatherford for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
