McLennan Softball ranked seventh for third week

For the third consecutive week, the McLennan Softball squad in No. 7 in the NJCAA Division I Rankings.

The top eight teams remained the same: Wallace State-Hanceville, No. 1; Yavapai, No. 2; Florida Southwestern State, No. 3.; Seminole State (Oklahoma), No. 4; Odessa, No. 5; Butler (Kansas), No. 6.; and McLennan No. 7.

Grayson, the only other Texas school in the rankings, moved up three spots to No. 8 this week. San Jacinto and Howard are receiving votes.

McLennan faces Vernon in a four-game conference series this week with a 1 p.m. doubleheader Wednesday in Vernon followed by a noon doubleheader Saturday at Bosque River Ballpark.
