McLennan players earn weekly conference honors

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference recognized a McLennan baseball and softball player for their performances during the week of April 24-30.

Wyatt Cheney was named the baseball Pitcher of the Week. Cheney pitched a 5-0 complete-game shut-out victory over Cisco, allowing one hit and giving up one walk while striking out eight batters in seven innings.

Sidney Campion was selected the softball Position Player of the Week. Sidney had a .545 batting average in four games versus Cisco with a triple, two home runs, six RBIs and five runs scored.
