McLennan Softball No. 9 in final rankings

The McLennan Softball squad, with a 41-11 overall and 27-5 in conference record, moved up one spot to No. 9 in the final NJCAA Division I Rankings.

The top five remained the same this week: Odessa (Texas), No. 1, 44-4 record; Wallace State (Alabama), No. 2, 47-5 record; Florida SouthWestern, No. 3, 46-5 record; Walters State (Tennessee), No. 4, 48-2 record; and Grayson (Texas), No. 5, 41-7 record.

Other Texas teams in the rankings: Galveston, down one spot to No. 16, 36-8 record; and Weatherford, down two spots No. 18, 37-12. Temple and San Jacinto were receiving votes.
