McLennan's Plunkett & Reyes earn weekly awards

McLennan Softball's Erin Plunkett and Katia Reyes earned the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Pitcher and Player of the Week honors for April 23-29.

Plunkett, a sophomore shortstop from Humble, had a .769 with 12 RBI and 10 runs scored. She was 1-2 with a triple and four RBI in the 14-1 win over Ranger, and was 4-4 with a triple and three RBI in the 17-0 shutout of Ranger.

Reyes, a freshman from Weslaco, allowed just one walk and one hit in the 17-0 shut0out victory over Ranger, striking out four batters in five innings.
